How did we honor our veteran? Well, for Veteran’s Day we took Ken on a special trip to Oahu with our three kiddos. What a fun getaway as a family! We also got to celebrate Ken’s birthday as he inches closer each year to the big 4-0. My cousins joined us on Oahu and we all rented a condo in the same building, just steps away from Waikiki Beach. We walked to the beach each day, visited the Honolulu Zoo and ate lots of picnic lunches. (Also, Ken surprised me with this epic jeep rental we took to Kualoa Ranch aka Jurassic Park. See pics.)
I really enjoyed shaking up our normal daily routine with this inter island trip! We are currently excavating our yard to pour concrete and make it more watertight around our house. It’s a lot of work! And loud! And all things. Praise God for this break from our build and time of fun as a family.

Such wonderful pictures. Love your dress. 🙂 Cannot believe it was over 30 years ago that I was there and we stayed at the Rainbow Hilton. I had friends that lived there so was great to visit with them and go to some of the out of the way places . Was a wonderful trip.
