Glacier National Park

One of my best friends from college who is from Canada met up with us in Glacier National Park at the start of our travels. It was so much fun spending those four days together adventuring through the park, and at nearby Whitefish, Montana.

Highlights: eating all our meals together, in community. Swimming in the frigid glacial streams. Basking in the sunshine at the lake. Matching park t-shirts. Homemade blueberry cobbler (first bake in the RV!) with whipped cream and ice cream. Laughing and playing like kids, with our kids and each other’s kids. Canadian smarties and ketchup chips and dill pickle chips. Also, late night at the campfire us adults when the kids were all asleep, catching up on old times. Thank you so much for driving to meet us, Sherilyn!!

Psalm 23 (NIV):

1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
    He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
    all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.
